Abstract

Familiarizing with Imam Sadiq's behavior with non-Muslims and analyzing the way he interacted with them is of particular importance in order to benefit from his life. The question raised here is as follows: What was the behavior of Imam Sadiq (a.s.) in the face of non-Muslims and what were the causes of such behavior? Analyzing the subject by using advanced sources and using descriptive and analytical methods shows that the behavior of Hazrat Sadiq (a.s.) in dealing with non-Muslims, both the People of the Book and others, is tolerant and in a sense combined with gentleness and avoiding any violence. And it has been sharp. Despite the violence that he sometimes observed in the speech of some of them, he has never deviated from the principle of tolerance and tolerant policy towards them. Imam Sadiq (AS) also called his followers to be tolerant towards non-Muslims. The causes of such behavior towards non-Muslims should be sought in the mission of His Holiness, which was to guide and educate everyone.
