Abstract

Due to its geographic-strategic location and natural talents, since the early centuries and especially in the historical period in question, Isfahan was the focus of power centers and experienced changes in various fields (such as political and economic). The present study aims to answer the question of the relationship between the attraction and rejection of Muhaddithians with the socio-economic security of Ray and Isfahan and what are the points of commonality and difference? The findings of the research indicate that the factors that attract Muhadditheen to Ray and Isfahan have a close relationship with the socio-economic security of these two lands. These factors are divided into subcategories such as security measures in Isfahan and tax reforms in Ray. Due to factors such as the establishment of powerful rulers in Isfahan and more severe political-military unrest in the land of Ray, the various manifestations of the economic life of this land, such as trade and agriculture, were more prosperous. The result of this has been the attraction of a larger number of Muhadditheen to Isfahan (compared to Ray). Regarding the factors of repulsion of Muhadditheen, despite the high price of goods in Isfahan, due to severe political-military riots and the occurrence of destructive natural disasters in the land of Ray, more number of Muhadditheen of Ray (compared to Isfahan) migrated to other places.
