Abstract

The present study tries to answer these questions while analyzing the speech acts in the Qur'anic quotations of Imam Ali (a.s.) in the face of Nakhtin, Qastin and Marqin Based on John Searle's speech act model, what are the different types of speech acts in the Quranic quotations of Imam Ali ?And what results are obtained from the analysis of the frequency of these actions? This research was investigated and analyzed with a descriptive-analytical approach and using quantitative and qualitative methods. Among the speech acts of Quranic quotations of Imam Ali (AS), the declarative act is the most frequent with 50.8%.After that, the action of persuasive speech is in the next rank with 41.12% Obligatory, emotional and declarative actions are also in the next ranks with 4.03, 3.22 and 0.80%, respectively. The results of the research indicate that considering the frequency of declarative actions among the speech actions of Imam Ali , his intention and purpose in confronting Nakshin, Qastin, and Marqin was to clarify and explain the issue. Also, it seems that Imam Ali (AS) tried to prohibit these three groups from taking armed actions against the Islamic government through indirect persuasive actions.
