Bano vajih and kharijites come to power in Oman with the arrival of Buyids dynasty in Baghdad. The Kharijites, who were in a state of weakness during the third period of their Imamate, had inland and mountainous areas such as Nazwa, and Bano vajih(354-324 AH) and then Zangians(362-356 AH) ruled over the Oman ports like Muscat and Sohar. Buyids dynasty invaded Oman at the earliest opportunity during the reign of Mu'izz al-Dawlah and pursued a hostile policy towards the sultans of Oman. Based on descriptive-analytical method and citing first-hand historical and geographical sources, the present study seeks to answer the question of what factors influenced the establishment of hostile relations between the Buyids and the sultans of Oman in the years between 362-340 AH? The research hypothesis is that the most important factor in shaping the hostile policy of Al-Buwayh with Benoit and Zangian of Oman was trad. The results show that the Buwayhid rulers, on the one hand, in order to ensure the commercial security of Basra and the northern ports of the Persian Gulf, such as Siraf and Janabah, were constantly threatened and attacked by the sultans of Oman On the other hand, due to the commercial importance of Oman and the attempt to dominate its ports, they chose a hostile attitude in establishing relations with the sultans of Oman
