Abstract

Investigating and analyzing historical events requires knowing the positions and influential people; After entering Medina, the Messenger of God falsified or signed the tribal positions to administrations that fit the new structure with changes.
One of these positions was Arafat; The owner of this position, Arif, was a person who was the intermediary between the government and a group of people. Therefore, due to the importance of Arif's prominent position and role in social and military dimensions and the lack of independent examination of the above issue, it is necessary to carry out a comprehensive research in this regard.
In this article, it is tried to analyze the evolution of the office of Arafat, from Jahiliyyah to 61 Hijri, in a descriptive-analytical way.
With the hypothesis that Arafat was a social and military post
And with the spread of Islam, its military security function became more prominent.
The findings of the research show that the Messenger of God used knowledgeable, pious and committed people in the management of society, especially the social dimension, in choosing mystics.
After his death, Arafat was developed in the administrative system and attention was paid to its function in the military and security aspect.
The criteria for choosing mystics in this era was their loyalty to governors and not paying attention to their acceptance among subordinates
