The Historical Analysis of Opposition with Imam Ali (PBUH) from 36 to 132 (A.H) according to the Sunnite Sources

Abstract

The history of early Islam includes various approaches of Islamic community towards Imam Ali (PBUH). The believers of appointed Imamate and the ones believed in the elected caliphate are two groups unanimous in regard with the superior position of Imam Ali (PBUH). The third group are those against that holiness. This research aimed to clarify the ways of opposition with Imam Ali (PBUH) and investigated the data present in the Sunnite sources regarding the events occurred during 36 to 132 (A.H) through the historical approach. According to the findings, the enmity with that holiness has been represented by attributing blasphemy, cursing, accusing, leaving the Prophetic tradition, denying the virtues, removing the name of that holiness and oppressing his followers.

Abstract [العربیة]

لقد کان تاریخ صدر الإسلام شاهداً على أحداث ومواقف مختلفة فی المجتمع الإسلامی، و على الخصوص فیما یتعلق بأمیر المؤمنین علی(ع).
"المؤمنون بالإمامة بالنص"، و"القائلون بالخلافة المنتخبة"، فریقان یشترکان بإیمانهم بعلو مقام الإمام علی7، أما الفریق الثالث فهم الذین سلکوا طریق مخالفة و معارضة الإمام علی(ع).
تهدف هذه المقالة الى تبیین طرق المواجهة مع الإمام علی(ع)، من خلال الاعتماد على المنهج التاریخی المستند على المعلومات الموجودة فی منابع أهل السنة، المرتبطة بالأحداث الواقعة لسنوات 36 الى 132 للهجرة.
و بناءًا على نتائج البحث یمکن القول بأنّ المواجهة مع أمیر المؤمنین علی(ع) کانت تتمحور حول السلوکیات التالیة:
نسب الکفر، السب، توجیه التهم، ترک العمل بالسنة النبویة الشریفة، إنکار الفضائل، محو إسم الإمام علی7 بالإضافة الى القمع و التضییق على أصحابه و أنصاره.
