A Surur, an important book of lam-ul-Muluk,also Known as Rahat-us-Subur wa Ayat-us- the late sixth century and early seventh century AH, both in its eloquence of writing and inclusion of much historical and social information is among the most credible and useful Farsi books before the mongol Invasion. It's writer Najm-ad-Din is from Rawand, a village near the city of Kashan in central Iran. In this valuable book, following the introduction, Rawandi has entered into the discussion of the Seljuq rule and describes their goverment from the beginning to the final days of Sanjar, the last Sultan of the dynasty.
This book was corrected and revised by Muhammad Ighbal in 1921. Ighbal's work was published by Amir Kabir publications in Iran in 1333 (first edition) and 1364 (second edition) AH with commentaries by mojtaba Minovi. The late Ighbal has written a scholarly English in troduction to this text on his metod of conrection, the outhor of the book, the content and the sources of the book, the influence of Rahat-us-Sudur on future history books, plus book critique that is extremely beneficial to both the beginner and the advanced. Here, Ighbal has referred to certain points which have never been taken up by anyone before.
