The effective characteristics on the performance improvement of Fatimid Dawa organization

Abstract

Dawa organization as the largest propaganda body in the Fatimid caliphate (358-567 AH), had the great task of developing and propagating of the Ismaili instruction and providing the context of Fatimid mastering as the only legitimate caliphate in the Islamic lands. Fatimid placed this organization in the confrontation with the Abbasid caliphate and the Sunni. Therefore, the Dawa organization required having sufficient skills and competency to overcome this confrontation. In this article has been attempted to address the characteristics of the Fatimid Dawa organization that were effective in the success of this organization through the descriptive-analytical method.
The results of this study indicate that the Fatimid Dawa organization has traits including enterprise discipline, organizational monitoring and control, organizational focus, division of work and coordination among organization member tasks, continuous and inclusive activity, organizational concealment and the necessity to follow the chain of command. Dawa organization was able to have proper performance beyond Fatimid caliphate borders.
