The Journal of History of Islam aims to publish original research papers about epistemic and methodological problems of the study of history in the framework of Islamic thought. The submitted papers should have one of the following criteria,

• Innovation in the analysis of a period of the history of Islam and the history of Shia regarding the new issues
• Philosophy of history
• Studying social history, cultural history, economic history, etc in the field of the history of Islam
• Study the historical thought of Muslim scholars and its effect in other fields such as tafsir, kalam, fiqh, and rijal.
• Critically study the views of western orientalists and scholars of Islam in history.
