Critical Study of the Article regarding “The Analytical Investigation of Narrative Historiography of Imamiyeh to the Half of the Fifth Century”

Abstract

The present article criticizes the article in regard with“the analytical investigation of narrative historiography of Imamiyeh”. It raises the question related to the properties of narrative historiography of Imamiyeh and presents an analysis in this regard. The researcher investigates this kind of historiography, the motivation of traditionists (hadith recorders) and compares their approaches in reporting the historical events relying on the viewpoints of historians. Following the assessment of the method and the content analysis of the article, the researcher concluded that the aforementioned article has criticized Hadith recording of Imamiyeh instead of their narrative historiography due to the different reasons such as lack of an accurate definition from the concepts, issuing the general decrees, disregrarding the typology of historical and hadith related sources, no identification and seperation of historical narrations from non-historical ones, a selective approach towards narrations in order to present a general analysis and other similar cases

الورق الحالی یهیف الی دراسة و نقد مقالة " دراسة تحلیلیة للمنهج الحدیثی فی کتابة التاریخ عند محدثی الامامیة حتی منتصف القرن الخامس "، الذی نشر فی العدد 64 من المجلة التاریخ الإسلامی الفصلیة . التی یحاول الکاتب فیها ان یطرح هذا السؤال: ماهی خصائص کتابة التاریخ الروائیة فی منهج الامامیة ثم یقدم تحلیلاً لکتابة التاریخ من ناحیة محدثی الامامیۀ عبر عرض منهجهم فی کتابة التاریخ و دراسة دوافعهم و مقارنة منهجهم مع منهج المؤرخین فی سرد و تقریر الحوادث التاریخیة. تشیر نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أن المقالة المذکورة فاشلة فی هذا المنال لأنها لم تعط تعریفا مضبوطاً من المفاهیم المطروحة فیها و لم تضع النقاط على الحروف فی مدعاه و لم یبد اهتماما کافیا لتصنیف المصادر التاریخیة والحدیثیة و تمییز بعضها عن بعض، و توجد الازدواجیة فی انتقاء الأخبار و الشواهد و والمزج بین الکتب التاریخیة والحدیثیة وقلة الدقة فی تقدیم النماذج والعناوین و فی الحقیقة اکتفى بعرض انتقادات حول المنهج التاریخی فی الحدیث الامامی ولم تظفر فی اثبات فرضیتها
