Therefore, from the very beginning, they faced various challenges within the territory under their rule; Stabilizing the foundations of the Umayyad government required agents who were experienced, politicians, repressive and of course obedient and submissive. In this period, the basic approach of the Umayyad rulers was to choose powerful, fanatical governors with extraordinary powers to administer the Islamic lands. Umayyad governors played an important role in legitimizing the Umayyad Caliphate, consolidating and establishing Umayyad rule, continuing conquests, and suppressing anti-Umayyad uprisings. These governors were employed with wide powers, rights and privileges. One of the governors who played an influential role in the Umayyad Caliphate was Rawḥ bin Zenbā’a. The present research will examine the political, administrative and military performance of Rawḥ bin Zenbā’a and explain her role in building the power and politics of the Umayyad government. This research has been done by relying on historical studies and using library resources and using a descriptive-analytical method. The findings of the research show Rawḥ bin Zenbā’a, as one of the main governors of the Umayyad government, was effective in strengthening the authority of the Umayyad government and stabilizing and continuing the Umayyad rule, and played an important role in construction the power and politics of the Umayyad government.
