Due to the particular geographical situation of this city, there governed various dynasties the most important of them were Delhi sultans famous for "Shamsian" the first Islamic dynasty before Mongol's sovereignty over this land. Shams al-Din Altatmash is considered as the first king of this dynasty and the main designer of Delhi's sovereignty and due to his importance and position as the first independent Muslim commander of Delhi, this article investigates the way of Altatmash's gaining power, the most important events of his sovereignty as well as his strategies in the strengthening of power.  دهلی مهم‌ترین شهر هندوستان شمالی است که راجه پریتوی (prithvi) آن را بنا کرد و در میان هفت شهر منسوب به این نام، قدیم‌ترین آنها محسوب می‌شود. به دلیل موقعیت جغرافیایی ویژة این شهر، سلسله‌های مختلفی در آن حکومت کرده‌اند که یکی از مهمترین آنها، سلاطین دهلی معروف به «شمسیان هند» نخستین سلسلة اسلامی که بر هندوستان پیش از دوران سلطنت مغول بر این سرزمین است. شمس الدین التتمش نخستین پادشاه این سلسله و مهندس اصلی سلطنت دهلی است که به عنوان نخستین حاکم مستقل مسلمان دهلی از اهمیت و منزلت خاصی برخوردار است، در این مقاله چگونگی به قدرت رسیدن التتمش، مهم‌ترین وقایع دوران حکومت او و سیاست‌های او در تحکیم قدرت مورد بررسی قرار خواهد گرفت. https://hiq.bou.ac.ir/article_5224_a4f160bda380c1514f33acaac7062f5a.pdf
