The position of Muslims in the history of science and their capabilities and innovations in this realm is an important and necessary topic the clarification of which moderates the common radical views currently prevalent about the history of science.
This essay tries to present a concise history of medicine in Andalusia and briefly outline medical innovations by Muslim physicians thereby evaluationg the share of Muslim Spain in the advancement of the sciences of medicine and pharmaceutics and thier transfer to Europe.
