Utilising the Shiite and non-Shiite Rijali resources, and through the analytical-descriptive method, the present paper examines the biographies, geographical written works, the existing local histories, and the different geographical forms and fields studied by the Shiite scholars during the sixth Hijri Century. The findings of the present paper demonstrate that, although many of the Shiite written geographical have been lost during the time for some different reasons, they had a substantial part in writing the geographical works. Although mostly being centred in some specific cities and regions, and similar to the Sunni writers, in their own geographical studies and works the Shiite paid a special attention to the geography of the Arabian Peninsula and prepared some resources on the Arab tribes, their residence and the natural phenomena. The Shiite, in their works on introduction of the Shiite-resided cities and regions, specifically the Iraqi ones, the holy areas, the haven and burial sites of Sadat (descendants of the holy prophet), Alavids, and some fewer works on the natural, astronomical and human geography}, keywords = {Shia,Shiites’ Scientific Part,Geography,Shiite-resided Areas,Shiite Burial Sites}, title_fa = {نقش شیعیان در تدوین منابع جغرافیایی}, abstract_fa = {شیعیان، همپای تحولات علمی جهان اسلام در قرن سوم هجری، به‌خصوص نهضت ترجمه، با تکیه بر عقلگرایی ویژه شیعی، ضمن پایبندی به مبانی فکری خود، از دانش‌های وارداتی استقبال کردند و به علوم کاربردی از جمله جغرافیا روی خوش نشان دادند. در این مقاله، با استفاده از منابع رجالی شیعی و غیرشیعی، زندگی‌نامهها و تألیفات جغرافیایی و تاریخ‌های محلی موجود، اَشکال و حوزههای مختلف مطالعات جغرافیایی دانشمندان شیعی، تا قرن ششم هجری با روش تحلیلی ـ وصفی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. یافتههای این پژوهش نشان میدهد که با وجود از بین رفتن بسیاری از جغرافیانگاشتههای شیعی در گذر ایام به علل مختلف، سهم آنان در تدوین منابع جغرافیایی چشمگیر بوده است. شیعیان با اینکه اغلب در شهرها و مناطق خاصی تمرکز داشتند، در مطالعات و تألیفات جغرافیایی خود همانند نویسندگان اهل‌سنّت، توجه ویژهای به جغرافیای جزیرةالعرب نشان دادند و به تدوین منابعی درباره قبایل عرب و مساکن آنان و نیز پدیدههای طبیعی آنجا پرداختند. شیعیان همچنین، آثاری در زمینه معرفی شهرها و مناطق شیعهنشین، بهویژه شهرهای: عراق، مناطق دارای جنبه زیارتگاهی، شهرهای مأمن و یا مدفن سادات و علویان و در ججمی کمتر، آثاری در زمینه جغرافیای طبیعی و جغرافیای نجومی و انسانی پدید آوردند}, keywords_fa = {شیعه,نقش علمی شیعیان,جغرافیا,مناطق شیعه‌نشین,مزارات شیعی}, url = {https://hiq.bou.ac.ir/article_65547.html}, eprint = {https://hiq.bou.ac.ir/article_65547_671b47b2132455a93dcdd26c5e0d1961.pdf} }
